Ron Pugh
Ron applies many years of experience with highly available secure and complex networks to make him a leader in the networking and securities industry. In addition he holds many CISCO and Microsoft certifications along with a B.S. in Computer Science from Truman State University.
Currently Ron has engineered and implement a secure redundant and highly available people to people lending network at Prosper.com, which currently has over 310,000 members and processes
over $72MM in unsecure loans.
Prior to Prosper, as a Director, Ron impleneted a large scale secure electronic finacial payment processor, EFSnet, via the public internet for both point-of-sale and e-commerce merchants as an alternate to private frame, satellite, and dial-up communications. Used today by IRS, McDonalds, Subway, PETCO, Vans, Oracle and many other tier 1 companies that processes over $12BB annually.
While a Senior Network Engineer for Integrated Information Systems, Ron contributed to managing the infrastructure for an Application Service Provider (ASP) hosting facility, which included migrating security to an N-Tier Technology and implementing various customer solutions utilizing Cisco LAN switches, load-balancers, routers and firewalls.
Ron's secure networks always implement world class and emerging technologies that are a necessary for enterprise level architecture that include intrussion detection, network monitory, security logging, redundant and highly scalable.
